Step-by-step guide to publishing and sharing your work with DUPA

1. PREPARING YOUR MEDIA FILES
Locate on your computer the media you would like to upload and change the file name to something descriptive of the content. For example, your filename may be the title and date of the work you are submitting (e.g.  ASpaceOdyssey_2001.mp4), or a descriptive phrase (e.g. DrewCampusWinter_2021.jpg). Do NOT include your personal name in the filename.

2. DIRECT SUBMISSION FORM

Now that you have prepared your file, use the following Direct Submission Form to submit your item to DUPA. The DUPA Submission Form will allow you to attach additional information (metadata) to your content such as an item description, author attribution, creation date, and tags. The Form will also allow you to choose a Creative Commons license for your work.

At the bottom of the form, click submit, and voilà, you’re done! Within 48 hours you will receive a confirmation email from dupa@drew.edu with a unique url to your published media.

3. CONTENT MODIFICATION OR REMOVAL

If, at any time, you would like to edit your item’s metadata, or have it removed completely from DUPA, you may use the following Content Modification or Removal Form.

1. PREPARING YOUR PODCAST AUDIO FILE

Before uploading your first podcast episode to DUPA, you’ll need to rename your audio file to include the podcast title, season (optional), and episode number. For example, the filename for the first episode of your new podcast might be: MyNewPodcast_S01.E01.mp3. If you do not plan organize your podcast by seasons, your filename would be: FirstEpisodeEver_E01.mp3. Do NOT include the episode title or your name in the filename (this appears elsewhere).

2. PODCAST EPISODE SUBMISSION FORM

Now that you have prepared your podcast audio file, proceed to the Podcast Episode Submission Form. This Form will allow you to input additional information (metadata) such as the name of your podcast, episode description, podcast logo/artwork, hosts, etc. You will also use this form to select the appropriate Creative Commons license for your podcast.

Within 48 hours you will receive a confirmation email from dupa@drew.edu with a unique url to your podcast’s rss feed, which will automatically publish your podcast to any of the podcast directories you selected (e.g. Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Spotify, Google Podcasts, among other options!).

3. PODCAST EDIT AND REMOVAL FORM

If, at any time, you would like to modify episode details, remove an episode from your rss feed, or have the entire show archived or taken down completely, you may use the following Podcast Edit and Removal Form.
